What makes Rumba different?

Fast, reliable internet and email at an affordable price. Gone are the days of long term contracts, special software required on your PC and expensive monthly subscription.

How do I get connected?

Two options are available for joining:

What do I need to get connected?

You need a personal computer, a modem and a telephone line. Both telkom pre-paid and normal rented lines can be used. Then simply phone our helpdesk who will help you to configure your dial-up connection and get connected to the Internet.

ISDN

We supply ISDN connections to the internet. You will need an ISDN Telkom line and an ISDN modem to make use of this service.

Can I use debit Order facilities?

You can use our Debit Order facility. Download the form from the join menu option.

How do I configure my e-mail?

Once you are connected, then go the Rumba website - www.Rumba.co.za - and choose the My Mail option. Type in your username and password and logon.

You may also phone the help desk to help you setup your e-mail tool.

Can I access my e-mail over the web?

You can access your e-mail accounts over the web. The web interface provides full functionality to read and manage your mail and to compose new mail.

Does it support POP3 and SMTP?

Rumba mail provides for all types of mail clients. The POP3 and SMTP mail addresses are the same: mail.Rumba.co.za

What about viruses?

We provide Virus scanning of your incoming mail on all our PLUS packages

Can I set up mail rules - when I am on vacation, etc?

You can configure your own vacation or out of town message or you can forward your mail to another address, etc. Rumba allows for full mail management functionality.

Why is Rumba so competitive?

We are providing a service to the public. We are helping all the people by bringing affordable e-mail and Internet into their homes.

Do I pay for the service when I phone the Rumba helpdesk?

Help-desk operates Mon-Fri 09h00 to 18h00, and Saturdays from 09h00 to 13h00. We do provide email support after hours and monitor both incoming calls and emails on Sundays and public holidays
